compared to Plunge or Morozko Forge, how does BoxPlunge stack up? Thinking about spending the money and want to make sure I'm getting good value.

I looked at all of them. BoxPlunge felt like the best value for an integrated system without going super high-end like Morozko. Plunge was good but BoxPlunge had a few features I liked more for the price.

BoxPlunge is definitely solid. If you're comparing, it's kinda in the middle. Morozko is probably top tier but super expensive. Plunge is also good, but I think BoxPlunge gives you more bang for your buck, especially if you're looking at their chiller options.

I think they can be, but check the manual for extreme temps. I've seen some setups with extra insulation wraps for super cold places, might be worth looking into for your 'wild weather'.

I don't remember ever seeing free shipping on the main units. I think that's usually only for accessories or smaller stuff. But they do have bundle discounts sometimes that might offset shipping costs.
